Project 8:- JourneyPosted: May 3, 2015
For this project, the brief is to create a piece of work that demonstrates and embodies what we have learnt this year. The final outcome may be in any format, as long as it is a personal, content rich demonstration of what we have learnt. We need to think of it as a visual map or story of our own personal journey this year. Questions we could ask ourselves are-
Where have you been? What have you done? What have you learnt?
When having a tutorial discussing our first year, I came up with the idea of creating something that changed peoples views of graphic design, and not just thinking, “Graphics is just art on the computer.”
If I was going to go off this idea, I realise that I have to focus a lot on the audience, who could be upcoming students who cant decide if they think this course is the right one for them, or outsiders who consider graphics as w waste of time, seeing it as just a ‘hobby’ where you cant get anything out of it. WRONG.
As well as focusing on the audience I still had to show MY journey, making it personal to me, but still trying to get a message across. Over the course of the next few weeks I will need to find a way to do this…
